Dimity at Bridal Africa 2009
It is official: on the weekend of the 7th and 8th of March 2009, Dimity will be exhibiting their beautiful new ranges of bridal and cocktail wear at the ever-popular Bridal Africa Exhibition, which is being held at Gallagher Estate in Midrand. We are extremely excited about this event as there will be many networking opportunities; a fashion show including various Dimity gowns; and it is also our introduction to the Johannesburg industry (Dimity was launched in Durban in 2005)!

Dimity accessories range launched
Designer Wendy Schultz has always been equally fascinated with millinery and jewellery making as she has fashion; so it is only fitting that we launch Dimity Accessories. This range includes hairpieces for brides and cocktail functions, veils, garment accessories such as sashes and boleros, bracelets, and purses. Keeping in touch with the current trend for all things recycled and eco-friendly, silk fabric off-cuts from the gowns we make are often used for certain pieces to reduce studio waste. Special commissions are also available according to your fabric and colour specifications.
Eco-Wedding Dresses
We are in the process of creating a new and exciting range for Dimity brides: an ecologically-friendly and entirely fair-trade range of wedding gowns. You can expect an array of contemporary and sophisticated shapes and silhouettes made from silks, bamboo fibres, hemp, pure cotton weaves, and many more exciting technical fabrics. Designer Wendy Schultz is currently working on her Master's Degree in Fashion Design and Textiles, specialising in ecologically friendly textiles and processes; the extensive research and sourcing (as locally as possible) of "green" fabrics and finishes necessary will result in our new "Eco Bride". Watch this space!
